Sometimes I Wish I Could Save You

"It's okay...." said April, groaning softly. "I need a hit soon...."

"Isn't that how you eneded up here though...?" Roger asked quietly, looking down at the bloodied towels.

"Oh c'mon Roger....don't go all high and mighty on me now," said April.

"But I don't wanna lose you..." Roger said again.

"I'm going to die no matter what happens now," said April.

"D-Don't say that..." Roger said, sounding upset again.

"It's the truth," said April.

Roger shook his head, not wanting it to be true. "No..."

April sighed and shook her head.

Roger finished cleaning Aprils arm and moved closer, hugging her.

April hugged him back.

Roger gave April a small smile, kissing her cheek afterwards.

April smiled back. "Now, I'm going out back for a hit, are you coming, or not?"

"But you just..." Roger mumbled, looking down at her arm.

"And I need a hit so I can chill the fuck out," said April.

"Okay, okay..." Roger said, frowning slightly. He stood up and held a hand out to help April.

April took his had as she stood up.

Roger stood there looking at April for a few seconds before walking out of the bathroom.

April went after her stash.

Roger leaned against the wall by the window as he waited, running a hand through his hair.

April grabbed her box with her things.

Roger was looking out the window, not paying attention.

April stood at the door. "You coming, or not?"

Roger jumped slightly, nodding before going over to her. "Yes, I'm coming."

"Bring your own needle," said April. "You can't use mine anymore."
